Tatami Coach Course

17 March, 2018

The SKGB agreed last year to implement the Tatami Coach Pass to all competitions, as a result the SKGB Referee Commission ran 3 courses which allowed coaches to sit the course and exam.

There has been some enquiries to run a further course and I am delighted to announce that the next course will be

Saturday 24th March 2018
1100 – 1400 hours

Dakota Hotel Eurocentral

1-3 Parklands Avenue
Eurocentral Business Park

I understand that this is short notice however with a full calendar for 2018 it is very difficult to find a date that was free.

The course will be in the same format as previous where there will be a powerpoint presentation followed by an exam taken from the WKF Referee Examination paper.

There is 2 types of passes open to members

National Tatami Coach

Must have a valid SKGB Coach Licence
This certificate allows all holders to coach at all levels of competition in UK.

Association Tatami Coach

Must be 18 years of age
Must have a valid Karate licence (Federation)
Must be minimum 3rd KYU

This certificate allows all holder to coach at association competitions (Not SKGB or BKF Events)

This will be the last course for some period of time and we request as many as possible take up this opportunity as all competitions will be enforcing the no pass / no coach policy.

Can I ask all attendees please send me a photograph of yourself so that passes can be prepared, I again understand the short notice so if I don’t receive before next week it can be sorted thereafter. A £5 admin fee applies for this course payable on the day.

Please pass this information onto your federation members as we would like to see as many as possible.
